Your Nevada health insurance company has worked with local doctors, hospitals, surgeons and other healthcare providers to create a network of professionals that all accept your insurance plan and charge the contracted rates. When you visit a professional or facility that is in-network, it means that you are staying inside of this network of professionals. If you visit a healthcare provider who is not in the network then you are going out-of-network and will not enjoy the same rates or health insurance coverage as you do with in-network providers. The very best way to ensure that these health care providers accept your insurance is to simply ASK, and CONFIRM that they are in-network. You may need to call your Nevada health insurance provider to make sure the doctor is part of their network.
Your insurance broker can advise you on this subject so no mistakes are made. Have your health insurance broker handle ALL health insurance claims, and confirm which healthcare providers and facilities in your neighborhood are in-network and which are out-of-network. Your insurance broker comes to you \”free of charge\”, so build this relationship, and know a good broker is worth a lot to you. Do not pick a Nevada health care plan without a good broker.
